The Big Foot Chefs shop for ingredients and prepare lunch in our program kitchen which is then offered to High School staff. Staff sign up and pay in advance, then self-serve the meal available in the staff lunch rooms on the designated day. Designing and printing sign-up sheets along with the collection of money provides areas for budgeting and meal planning. The Big Foot Chefs program allows students to develops positive relationships while communicatting effectively with others, maintain composure under pressure, demonstrates integrity, and perform quality work. The Big Foot Chef students intent is to provide quality goods and services,show initiative and self-direction while foloowing safety and security regulations and practices. The skills needed to be a Big Foot Chef are those that apply across a variety of jobs and life contexts.
