Students are made aware of Chief Code primarily through 2 programs, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (or PBIS) and Renaissance. The BFHS community will create and sustain a positive learning environment where all students can succeed academically, socially and emotionally. Through PBIS and Renaissance, we proactively teach, model, acknowledge, and reward behaviors that help to create a positive school culture.
Renaissance
Renaissance is a nationally recognized program that has proven to be a successful motivator in encouraging students to reach new academic and behavioral heights. This program is built to empower students, educators and community to work together to encourage and celebrate the achievements of students and staff. Big Foot HS will be working on implementing this program, in conjunction with our Chief Code, to inspire students and staff to reach new levels of pride in our school community and its amazing achievements. Pride stems from making improvements in GPA, increased attendance rates, growth in graduation rates, and making strides in enhanced school spirit.
