Charles T. Breitenstein and his wife Arliene of Chicago and F Fontana were the founders and owners of Spiral Step Tool Company in Elk Grove Village, IL.  He was a mechanical engineer and inventor. He held many patents on the designs he built of machinery.  Both he and his wife were members of Fontana Community Church and Big Foot Country Club in Fontana, WI. This scholarship is given to a student going into engineering.
