Senior Gus Foster is Big Foot’s All-Time Leading Scorer
On Monday, January 10, senior Gus Foster reached Big Foot’s All-Time Scoring Record with a whopping 1,330 points. This outstanding milestone happened at the away game against Badger High School, where the boys had a great team win, 56-47. Foster led the team with 19 points that night, with sophomore Hudson Torrez following him with 12 points. Foster shared, “It’s so cool that all the blood, sweat, and tears I’ve put into the sport has paid off in a way like that. I couldn’t have done it without the players and coaches. It made me grateful for who I have in my life because of the amount of people who celebrated the accomplishment with me.” Foster started playing basketball when he was only 4 years old, and hasn’t stopped playing since. He made the Big Foot varsity team as a freshman, and has worked extremely hard his whole high school career. Although he hasn’t committed, he has had an offer from Clarke University, as well as a preferred walk-on offer from the University of Sioux Falls.
