Big Foot FFA Members Attended the FFA National Convention

From October 26 - 29, members from the Big Foot FFA chapter attended the 95th National FFA Convention and Expo in Indianapolis, IN. In total, there were four alumni who attended and 12 current students. Highlights from the trip include:

  • Ethan Jackowski (Class of 2022) finished with a silver rating in the extemporaneous speaking competition.
  • Freshman Jonah Henningfeld placed 10th in the Agriscience Fair area of Environmental Systems.
  • Freshmen Reid Henningfeld and Elijah Henningfeld placed on the podium in the Agriscience Fair area of Social Systems.
  • Participants attended the World's Toughest Rodeo at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
  • Big Foot FFA members explored the National FFA Convention Career and Industry Expo where they networked with global agriculture industries and learned more about careers in agriculture.
  • Sydney Bender (Class of 2020) received her American FFA Degree, which less than 1% of FFA members receive.
  • Big Foot FFA received the FFA National Chapter Award being rated as a 3-star Chapter across the nation.
  • Members and nearly 70,000 others listened to former WNBA star Tamika Catching's keynote address.
  • Students participated in the Big Foot chapter tradition of going to a hibachi dinner.
