Big Foot High School proudly celebrated three outstanding student-athletes during a College Commitment Celebration surrounded by their families, friends, coaches, and teammates. The event honored the dedication, perseverance, and hard work these students have demonstrated both in the classroom and in competition.
The Commons was filled with pride and support as each athlete officially committed to continuing their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level. Congratulations to:
Owen Smith, who will attend Illinois State University and compete in football
Carter Ries, who will attend UW–Eau Claire and compete in wrestling
Mike Alfano, who will attend Lakeland University and compete in soccer
Each student was recognized for their commitment, leadership, and the countless hours of preparation that led to this milestone. Their families, coaches, and teammates played a meaningful role in their journey, and their presence made the celebration even more special.
Big Foot High School is proud of these student-athletes and excited to follow their next chapter as they take their talents to the next level. Once a Chief, always a Chief.
The school also looks forward to another College Commitment Celebration this spring, where additional student-athletes who will be competing at the next level will be honored.
