Senior Aidan Winn has qualified for the Wisconsin State Powerlifting meet in his weight class. He attended two meets this year at Elkhorn and Waterford. His weightlifting totals earn him a spot at the State Meet!
At the Waterford meet, Aidan had a 375 squat, 530 deadlift and 315 bench which earned him a 2nd place in his 275 weight class, and also qualified him for the state meet March 6-8 in Appleton.
Powerlifting meets are made of squat, deadlift and bench press, where the athlete gets three attempts at each lift and must adhere to strict standards for each lift that are upheld by three judges at each lift. Certain qualifying totals are required for each weight class to qualify for the State meet and Aidan accomplished that handily.
