MILWAUKEE, WI – January 21, 2026 – Hundreds of Wisconsin's school board members, superintendents, and administrators are gathering at the Baird Center in Milwaukee today for the annual State Education Convention, a premier event focused on fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and elevating student success across the state's public schools. Co-sponsored by the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB), Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators (WASDA), and Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials (WASBO), the three-day convention features keynotes, workshops, and an extensive exhibit hall addressing critical issues in education.

Virtual Stock Exchange Winners!!
Big Foot High School students in Ms Benton's two personal finance classes have been competing over the last month in a virtual stock exchange. Yesterday the competition ended at market close. The top three students got a certificate and a t-shirt. Alex Cudnik placed First. Barrett Hanson placed Second. and Sierra Francis (not pictured) placed Third.

Ms. Long’s English 11 and 11 Honors classes finished reading The Great Gatsby before winter break. Today, they had their movie watching party! While maybe not as extravagant as a party hosted by Gatsby, students still thoroughly enjoyed refreshing their memories after the break and eating some treats. Later this week students will begin writing their essays to wrap up the unit.
