On October 13th. The Spanish 3, 4, Ap and the United We Stand Club went to the Barrymore Theater in Madison and watched a show about dances from all over the Spanish speaking world. One of our students Andrea Flores danced on the stage with the cast and other students from other schools.
They finished the day by eating authentic Mexican food in the Agaves Restaurant in Delavan.

Amelia is a freshmen playing Lily in Big Foot High School's cast of the Bold the Young and the Murdered and her favorite kind of soup is cheese soup.
Big Foot HS English 11 class taught by Ms. Faith Long is currently studying Transcendentalism and reading works from prominent authors, such as Ralph Waldo Emerson. On Tuesday they analyzed Emerson’s “transparent eyeball” metaphor, and today they headed outside to become “transparent eyeballs” themselves. Students enjoyed 10 minutes of solitude, quietly basking in and observing nature while taking note of the many sights, sounds, smells, and feelings it has to offer.
A Big Shout out to Dalco Metals for the donation of a sheet of metal to fix the FFA trailer. The Big Foot, FFA trailer that they use to haul things to the compost pile was in pretty bad shape. in a cooperative project between The tech dept and ag dept Big Foot high school student Hoyt Dase welded a new piece of metal onto the trailer and fixed the trailer so it is now usable. He utilized the skills he learned in welding class with his instructor Ms Stamschror Dalco Metals donated the sheet of metal and Hoyt was able to weld it on and the trailer will have many more years of use.

🌟 Interns Share Insights at Geneva Lake West Chamber Luncheon
Last week, at the Geneva Lake West Chamber of Commerce Luncheon, six talented interns took the stage to share their experiences from this summer’s Chamber Internship Program. Their presentations highlighted what they learned about local government, school boards, municipalities, and the area’s thriving business community.
Learning Through Experience
Throughout the internship, students attended city council, chamber and school board meetings, volunteered at community events, and met with local leaders to better understand how decisions are made in the Geneva Lake area.
A Program Built on Connection
The Geneva Lake West Chamber Internship Program connects local high school students with mentors from business, education, and local government. Interns gain first-hand insight into public service, civic leadership, and professional communication while contributing meaningfully to community and Chamber initiatives.
Each intern completes a series of community learning projects, and gives their final presentations to Chamber members, local organizations and their peers.
Inspiring the Next Generation
There is much appreciation for the interns’ commitment and civic involvement. Programs like this ensure that future leaders understand and value the teamwork that sustains local communities.
