Thank you to all of our wonderful and talented contestants. Last night was a blast! Thank you to all the Big Foot Community who donated money to the Contestants. The proceeds raised close to 2,000.00 and will be donated to a good cause.

John Rambatt and Patrick Corey
Big Foot Union High School Class of 2024 seniors John Rambatt (L) and Patrick Corey (R), were the Outstanding Senior Recognition Program guests of the Geneva Lake West Rotary Club at its April 18 noon lunch meeting at Abbey Springs Yacht Club, Fontana. An Honor Roll and National Honor Society student, Corey plans to study finance and investment banking and risk management in the Pre-Business program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a career goal of becoming an investment banker or stockbroker. During his time at Big Foot, Corey has been active in basketball, golf and cross country, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), the Hope Squad peer-to-peer mental health and suicide prevention program, and the Student Athlete Leadership Team (SALT), a group of student athletes who work together to support Big Foot athletic programs. An active volunteer at and through Big Foot, in the community Corey volunteers with the Elkhorn-based Lakeland Animal Shelter and the nonprofit Grades 4-8 Big Foot Mini Chiefs community youth basketball program. Honor Roll student Rambatt looks to work in the construction trades after graduation, skilled in a variety of areas including electrical, plumbing, masonry and demolition.
While at Big Foot, Rambatt has been active in a number of pursuits including cross country, track and field, Future Farmers of America (FFA), FBLA, student council and band, in addition to volunteering at and through the school.

Recently , the Recording Academy and GRAMMY Museum have announced a total of 212 music teachers as quarterfinalists for the 2024 Music Educator Award, which recognizes current educators — kindergarten through college across public and private schools — who have made a significant and lasting contribution to the field of music education and who demonstrate a commitment to the broader cause of maintaining music education in the schools. The quarterfinalists, who hail from 197 cities, were selected from more than 2,000 initial submitted nominations. In addition to the quarterfinalists, 123 legacy applicants from 2023 will also be eligible to win the Music Educator Award this year.

Yesterday the Big Foot HS FFA had their first Flea Market concession stand at the Walworth County Fairgrounds. Members served up some delicious food and refreshing drinks on this beautiful day!

Recently members of our FFA chapter ran a concession stand at Johnson Tractor in Harvard for their Orange Days Demo Event. Thank you Johnson Tractor for this opportunity.
Today the 2023-2024 School Awards Assembly was held. These students have dedicated significant time to ensuring the success of Archery Club.

The Big Foot Build team took second place in the 2024 Build race this season. We had the wonderful Jacob Jesko (505) racing for us, and Jay Buchanan, dad of one of our students, worked in the pits to help the students manage the bike and any issues that arose.
There were 12 bikes in total, we had shifter issues and our bike was stuck in first gear for our qualifying race, leading to a last place finish in our heat. The team fixed the issues and got the bike ready for the main race where Jacob started at the back of the pack. He overtook 10 people and finished in second place.
A big thank you to all our sponsors for the support, the Build Program and all the board mentors for running such an amazing program, along with the other teams and mentors that reached out and offered their guidance to our students, and Bever Cycle Club for hosting a great race night.
