This week in our Honors Jazz Ensemble, under the guidance of Mr. Raskin, our talented student-musicians prepared an exciting performance for the upcoming Homecoming Parade. Every year, the various Jazz bands join with the Symphonic Band to form Big Foot's marching band. The marching band will be performing at the parade on Friday, October 4 at 2:00pm. The parade will run along Kenosha Street after Fifth Avenue then circle around the Square.

On Saturday, September 21 the Big Foot High School FBLA chapter volunteered at a Kid's Around The World meal packing event at Williams Bay High School. 36 students, 24 of which were FBLA memebers, and 2 staff memebers from Big Foot attended and helped packed meals. A total of 30,000 meals were packed over the span of an hour and a half.

This week, in our dual-credit Baking & Pastries class taught by Mr. Slawson, students made, decorated, and presented their finished pies to a panel of judges. Some of the pies featured were Key Lime Pie, Dutch Apple Pie, and Peach Pie.

Students in Ms. Kroes’ Chemistry 2: Inorganic Chemistry performed an experiment this past week. In this experiment, juniors and seniors worked to try and determine the chemical formula after being given some known elements and some unknown elements. Seen in the photos, students used a vacuum filtration to help filter the water out from their copper, then they added ethanol to the copper before running the filtration again.

Squeezing a dropper, a high school student and his lab partner remove copper from an aluminum wire. This is a lab they must complete as a part of their high school level chemistry two  class.

Three high school students work together in a high school chemistry class. The students are tasked with a chemical formula lab in which they must find the missing equation.

The price of the yearbooks will be increasing by $5 starting on Saturday, September 14. If you want to pre-order a yearbook at its lowest cost, please make sure your payment arrives by Friday.
