
Congratulations to Senior Connor Weeks. He recently was a guest of the Fontana Garden Club. Connor applied and received a Scholarship from the Garden Club.
To be eligible, a student must be graduating from a high school in Walworth County with at least a 2.75/4.0 GPA,
and be planning to attend college or a technical school as a full-time student and major in a field related to garden
club objectives, such as horticulture, agriculture, botany, soil science, or conservation. The award is $3000.
Connor will be attending UW-Platteville majoring in Agribusiness, crop and soil science.

Big Foot High School is excited to partner with First National Bank and Trust to honor two exceptional seniors for the month of May. Natalie Klamm and Aubri Waswo were nominated by our faculty for embodying the core values of CHIEFS PRIDE.
Aubri was nominated for her honorable citizenship and Natalie was nominated for being a self-motivated learner.
Along with being honored as Students of the Month, Aubri & Natalie were awarded a $25 gift card from First National and will be invited to the year-end celebration, where they will meet the monthly awardees from other nearby school districts.

Jenny Heaton, a board member of Geneva Lakes Environmental Education Foundation board member. is shown presenting a Grant to the natural resource science class2. The class applied for the grant and received it on their project of working with pollinators butterflies in the different environments and the different flowers that they are attracted to.They just happened to be working on that project so it was very appropriate that the foundation Was there that day to present the $300 grant pictured are Jenny Heaton, Emily Zimmerman,Brilie Esser, Jacob Dykstra, and Lydia Farence

We have received word that BFHS Instrumental Music Teacher Mr Neal Raskin has received quarterfinalist status again for the Grammy Music Educator of the Year Award.
Recently, the Recording Academy and GRAMMY Museum have announced the music teachers who are quarterfinalists for the 2026 Music Educator Award, which recognizes current educators in kindergarten through college across public and private schools — who have made a significant and lasting contribution to the field of music education and who demonstrate a
commitment to the broader cause of maintaining music education in the schools. The quarterfinalists, who hail from 197 cities, were selected from more than 2,000 initial submitted nominations. In addition to the quarterfinalists, the legacy applicants from 2025 will also be eligible to win the Music Educator Award this year.

GENEVA LAKES WEST ROTARY HONORS
"OUTSTANDING SENIOR " Big Foot High School Class of 2025 Senior Logan McHugh was the featured guest honoree at the Geneva Lake West Rotary club. His activities in high school included National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America including a 1st place at State for Financial Statement Analysis and he was a National qualifier. Environmental Club, Hope Squad, Student Council and Yearbook Club. He has excelled in Drama Club and Vocal Jazz. In addition he has volunteered for many community events. He has participated in Tennis, Cross Country and Wrestling. Logan plans to study Mechanical Engineering at UW-Madison in the Fall.
